So since I’ve recently moved into a new home, I thought it would be fun to create some mood boards for a clearer image of the style and vibe that I want for each room! I actually made this a few months ago when I thought I was closer to closing on the home (it got really delayed, I made a post about it here) but I still wanted to share.
For the living room, I really want a coastal and relaxing vibe to the room. I basically want to trick myself into thinking I’m on vacation every time I come in here to watch tv. I have vaulted ceilings in my living room so I tried to find photos to reflect that. I love the wood beams and the shiplap and how everything is so light & airy. It feels so dreamy!
Next is the Master Bedroom! I really want to do a feature/accent wall of some sort where the bed sits. I think it would bring such a nice visual element to the room so it doesn’t just look like a regular bedroom. I want to go for super cozy vibes in here with nice textures and soft fabrics. I like the idea of keeping it pretty neutral and adding in some fun pops of color through pillows or blankets.
The powder room is something I’ve always wanted to redo in my previous homes but never got around to. It’s such a small room that I think I’m up for the challenge this time! I love the idea of doing a wainscoting with a mix of wallpaper on top. I think it really makes it feel classy but also fun! I love the hints of brass in the fixtures but also the neutral tones of the vanities to even it out. Can’t wait to get started on this project!
Last but not least, the laundry room! This is the first time I’ve had a nice laundry room space with cabinetry and a sink and even a mudroom bench (they are the cutest things ever, that is just fact). This room for me is all about feeling clean & organized. I love the use of baskets and glass jars in here to really make me feel like I have my life together (even though we all know I don’t).
I made a whole video on how I made these mood boards if you’d like to see my process!
